In spring, 2012, we had many does kidding . Some young British Alpine milkers and kids may be available in 2013. Enquiries are welcome. There are a few Saanens available in 2013, both milkers and kids. Contact us to discuss your preferences. Prices are dependent on age and milking ability, but can range from $250-$300 for a registered kid through to $450 for a top milker. At all times, we negotiate servicing of does, but the main criteria is that they are healthy, lice free and have been tested negatively for CAE. We do board does, but are happy if you just want to bring your doe when she is seasoning. Service price depends on the buck you choose, but prices at present are $100 for Magnus, the British Alpine buck, and $150 for Atlantis, the Saanen buck. Bucks become available for sale occasionally. We don't sell animals to people who plan to tether them, as this practice is non-ideal and can lead to tangling or injuries and sometimes even dehydration and death. Goats are intelligent and interactive and need to run, jump and be goats! Electric fences are best, but must be wire, not white tape, for best containment. Unfortunately, goats do not make good lawnmowers. They like a diet of 50% browse (leafy branches) or alternatively, your favourite garden shrubs, roses and fruit trees! After you have purchased a dairy goat from us, you are always welcome to call for advice as we want you to enjoy your new acquisition. We also encourage you to join the Dairy Goat Society, which in W.A. is a great group of people who support and encourage their members.
